I have spent over 25 years in the building and property maintenance trade in London. Not obvious preparation for my new second career as a musician, singer/songwriter, collaborator and producer.
Except music has always been my (dormant) first career. I graduated with a music degree in 2000. I had a flurry of success including soundtracks for Discovery and Channel 4 in the UK. However, other roles, responsibilities and realities took over. I fell in and out of love with music although I never stopped writing and composing.
Then I had a wake up call. The untimely death of my Dad in 2014 and my divorce in 2016 reminded me that life was indeed too short. So in 2017, I started to record again and began to find the courage to release my music. I also started to collaborate and produce work for others.
My music is semi-autobiographical. It helps me through the cloudy moments. It also helps me celebrate the good times, including relocating to West Sussex with my new family (including our puppy!).
So, I am excited to be sharing my work with you, all of which I’ve written, recorded and produced. I’m admittedly a little nervous about sharing my work with you too. But I’m grateful that music is now my work.
If you like what you hear, please share it. If you have your own project in mind, no matter what shape and size, please get in touch to see where our conversations take us.
